A highly recommended excursion during your stay on Hvar
is the trip to the deserted shepherd village of Humac,
6km east of Jelsa, just off the main Jelsa-Sucuraj road.
Originally, Humac was a small shepherd village, situated
350m above sea level. The village itself is a collection
of picturesque ruins, and there are plans in place to
carefully restore it to its original splendour. Dordan
and Angelika own and run a wonderful restaurant in this
magical place with stunning sea views, and they would
be delighted to host an opulent meal for you in the rustic
atmosphere of their old Dalmatian shepherd house.
